Hi, i really like your video, but there are a few points were it could have been approved, {in my opinion}

-You could have have been able to be more creative with the photos used, instead of having the normal picture fade, be more experimental and creative
-The shot selection was very limited, maybe had different shots of the artist in America with the Nigerian community. It got a bit boaring with the same shot of the artist singing to the camera
-Maybe use more archive footage if available

But i really liked the song, a serious message for us to take from it, and realise how lucky we are to live in societies which offer us all the basic nescessities we require.

Ismail,
Thanks for the feedback. I just got the video this weekend.
The only thing I did was the shot of the artist on a white background. We used my XL2 and the other shots of NY was done with a GS250.

I would have loved to do more outside shots but the artist wanted it just plain.
We are currently shooting another one which I consist more shots, etc.

A high resolution video will be posted pretty soon.

Thanks for watching.

Eniola,
First of all good job!!! I really like that song simple and to the point.

Initially I had the same reaction Ismail had (after a while it was boring), but the second time I watched; I thought you did a good job of not over doing the video. If you had made the video too flashy I don't think it would have translated well.

Just wanted to say I like the song and the video

peace out

Sup Tunde,
Nice to see another Naija guy in ere~!
Funny enough, I am in Atlanta as well.
We just finished shooting his second music video this Saturday at 5 Points area.

I DOPed it and definitely will post it online when I get my hands on it.

The thing about this "I go yarn" song is that the pictures are supposed to translate or help the audience see a clear picture of what he is talking about.
For example, pictures comes in to scene when he talks about a particular amenities like water, food, electricity, housing etc.

Eniola, I really liked the song. Really cool song I thought. I liked the cuts - I might mix a little more NYC footage into the middle. And for the shots - what if you layered the photos in photoshop and then took them in as 3d layers in AE so you could setup some cool 3d effects and DOF with those photos - I think that would help solve the boredom comments you were getting above... I liked it.

Jeremy,
That's an absolutely great idea. The artist edited it and he is very good with photoshop and shake but he is travelling out of the country for gigs this week. I will inform him though.
Thanks for ya'alls comment.
