bought the hvx200 from b&h in late december

got delivery on feb 10th

been on the road for the past 7 weeks

just opened up the b&h box this afternoon

b&h double-boxed

outer box looked fine

inner box was pristine

gently removed top cover to reveal camera in white bag.

gently picked it up.

when i tilted the camera i heard a "click" sound.

when i removed the hvx200 from the white packing bag, it looked GREAT

i looked this beauty over from the other side

the lens was ponting down

i again heard a "click"

now i want to know what the "click" is.

maybe a loose lens cover.

i remove it.

point the camera south

i hear "click"

maybe its a gyroscope?

maybe its a feature i'm not aware of

maybe i've got a problem?

sure hope not.

thanks in advance to any and all who care to share their thoughts

be well

Hi Rob,

The sound of the OIS mechanism you hear is perfectly normal with the servos not engaged. It will go away when you turn on the camera. If it doesn't, give us a call.

I sure wish Panny would put a big red label on the packaging that says "THE CLICK IS NORMAL, DON'T WORRY"
