Is it still scheduled for the 31st? Does anyone know if that is a ship date, or the buy-it-in-stores-now date?

Macrumors.com is reporting that it's shipping, but there's nothing on Apple's site yet.

With virtually every other program showing significant performance gains as a universal binary, it'll be interesting to see how FCP does.

Sweet. I'm buying a mac book pro, so i'm not too concerned about "gains over the g4/g5 chips."

That said, I would like to know how fast it REALLY is. ;-)
