Anyone using this combo? I am setting up an Avid system at home (use XDV3.5 at work on a Laird Dvora box) and I also record voice overs and music at home so I want the best of both worlds, within my budget.

I was looking at a M-Audio 2496 but found out Avid doesn't play nice with them, the Audigy2 does, but Creative isn't the best for VO work.

AVID owns M-Audio now. It shouldn't be too long before they resolve the issue between the very hardware and software they sell.

true, but I have learned not to hold my breath waiting for Avid to resolve issues.

why in XDV3.5 when you export a quicktime, for instance, do you get half the audio at half speed? version 4 has less capability than 3.5 so Avid suggests upgrading to Xpress Pro... as much as I like the software, I don't think that highly of the company.
