I'm recording a spoken meditation CD, and I have been asked to find or compose some background music and various ambient sounds. Like gentle tinkling bells, whooshes, etc to compliment the "action" in the meditation. Can anyone recommend sources of suitable loop or ambience collections, or whole tracks, for mediation/relaxation background music?

Smartsound's SonicFire Pro has some collections with that sort of material if royalty free tracks would be of interest

adobe audition/cooledit/i assume other sound editing programs have the ability to generate noise at a specific wavelength with specific properties... you can use that to simulate natural effects such as waterfalls, wind, or the ocean with their creative use... lots of interesting stuff to be done with noise...
in addition, i know audition/cooledit can create waveforms, sine waves are especially clean sounding for use in this kind of circumstance....

Thanks. I'm presently using Acid, Sound Forge & Vegas for audio, but only a novice in Acid.

Bill Laswell's 24bit collection for ACID is built exactly for this sort of thing. Lot's of ethereals, light sounds, and some drone tones that sit deep in the mix with little attention moments. Designed for relaxation and airy ambiences.

Thanks Spot. The sample loops from Laswell's collection at Sony's site sound nice, but it seems like volume 4 is most relevant (the "free" volume included when you buy the collection). I'll consider including that when I order Acid 6 upgrade.
Any other good suggestions of loops or buy-out music for relaxation/meditation?
