I tried searching it up and the posts I've read werent very helpful.

Basically, I've just ordered an FX1. The invoice of the confirmation fax I recived said it was an FX1E. What does this mean? If its a European model, does it mean I'm getting ripped off, or is it completely safe and compatibal 100% in Australia?

I had always thought that the model we get down here on OZ is either P for pacific, or blank. (As every single aussie site only lists the Fx1 - unlike US and euro sites that use FX1U and FX1E)

Am I freaking out for nothing or what? Help me ease my pain :(

E is the same suffix as the FX1 you would get from your local camera shop in Australia, NZ or europe etc. "E" is standard in Sony cams for a 'Pal' or 50i model for AP/europe.

*phew* thanks for the clarification.

I was worried that I was gonna get sold a dupe. It happened before while I was in high school and bought a Hi 8 cam while it was still the beez kneez.

Tropfest 2008, here I come.... after I earn some cash with weddings, docos, and someother stuff you can do with viddy cams.... well, not that, but... yea, ok, maybe that.
