I need to find couple of actors and actresses for a demo. I am wondering if there are still anything available like craigslist where i can put ads for free?

Where are you based? In Toronto for example there is a cooperative organization for people looking to work in film & television (LIFT is the actual name). You can also check at your local theatre. That has worked well for me for finding actors to do voiceover work.

I am in LA it should be really easy here but i dont know where to start.

actually it's probably the opposite. everyone wants to work with big-names.

try your local moviemaking/acting college. students are usually more willing to do demo's than starving artists. that's your best bet. also try your local/community artistry groups. we have 'em up here in crappy new england, there must be one in LA.
