Hi - after reading everything on here have tried an Iriver 795 and Giant Squid Lapel mic on a couple of guys as they were doing presentations.

Unfortunately they were fairly animate and the audio was ruined by the sound of their clothes rustling. Any suggestions as to how to avoid this please?

Where did you put the mic? If you place it at their sternum i.e., just under the second button under their collar, there really shouldn’t be too much they can do to disturb it there unless they beat their chest a lot (if so place it slightly higher). You can also try placing a wind screen over the mic and a piece of silk over the wind screen. This should help to minimize the rubbing sound because silk is very smooth.
