Looking for info,
with several years of editing Sony DSR audio in Avid My question is why does it seem The DSR audio was much more manageable in editing than the Z1's audio. It seems as though the DSR audio was much more easy to sweeten almost like there was more info being burnt to tape. If you try to change one part of the Z1 audio lets say lower the highs, the bass changes much more dramatically than you would expect(small change makes a big change). I just dont feel I have the flexability of making audio tweeks, the Z1 audio seems as though it is one piece where the DSR audio is a bunch of seperate parts you could manipulate. Why is this? & Thanks

Because audio in DV is uncompressed PCM; but in HDV it is in fact compressed with Mpeg1 encoding at 384kbps.
