Hey, question...

Going to do some night shooting and can't use a light source; scare away the creatures we're shooting. Question is, is there a lense that will fit the slr adapter that I can use? Will the electronics work thru the cam?

Thanks,
Eric

PS- tried multiple settings to gain light in the dark but it's just not enough...night vision would be the only answer.

There are two night vision modules that I'm aware of for the XL1 / XL1S. Both are compatible with the EOS adapter.

See http://www.optexint.com/digivid/xl-1llnt.htm

and http://www.electrophysics.com/AstroScope_9300xl.htm

Hope this helps,

Fun, never knew such things existed! Any idea what such things
would cost (probably much, otherwise I would have heard more
about it I guess).

Not sure, but they are seriously expensive, believe at least $2000 USD or higher.

Back in 2000 at NAB in Vegas, the people at optex quoted a $5000 price
tag for their "night scope."

It may have come down in price since then, but I wouldn't count on it.
The other thing about this image intensifier is, if you (or anyone else) turns on a light/flash light/lighting you blow the electronics. I don't know if they've come up with a way to keep this kind of accident from happening.
