Cineform AspectHD literature says that the HD100 utilizes ITU601 colorspace. However, I am under the impression that on many threads here it has been a "given" that it is 709. Can someone clarify this for me? I believe this would affects everything I have been reading in terms of the camera parameters and test results...
Thanks,

As far as I know from JVC literature, the HD100 uses 601 colour space when in DV mode and 709 colour space when in HDV mode.

Tim,
I opened a thread in the Cineform room asking David for more clarification on this. Their AspectHD PDF page 18 says that JVC uses 601... Let's wait for his position to get to the bottom of this matter. Again, I always thought it was 709. Where exactly JVC has this stated?
Thanks,
Luis

David just confirmed that the HD100 uses 709, not 601 as stated in theis Aspect HD User Manual. They will fix it...

That part of the manual was written when JVC only had the HD1 & the HD10 which both use 601 even in their HD modes. It will be updated soon.
