I discovered this the other day when I was trying to edit together video and photos. I had to combine 50 or so photos with video to produce a 6 minute piece. Sometimes the photo segments would be 10 or 15 in a row and keyframing them individually was a major headache. I used iphoto to export a Ken Burns slideshow @720X480 to import into FCP. Everything looked fine until I brought it into FCP and it was a 20 minute render......Ouch. Plus if I wanted to change anything or add titles hey another 20+minute render. The solution was to use mpeg-streamclip to convert the mp4's to quicktime. The process took 1/10th the render time and I could use the clip natively in FCP. Woo-Hoo. I can't believe that program is still a free download. Good Luck, Jason.

MPEG Streamclip? Never heard of it. Couldn't you just use Quicktime to convert the mp4 to .mov?

I know this thread is from last year. I don't see an option in iphoto for 720x480. The best I see is 640x480. Is there a way to get it to render 720x480?
