I shot this recently up near Tahoe. Some of the shots are with the 180 shutter and others are with the 1/1000 shutter.

View Full Version : Guns: .223 rifle at 60fps Andrew Walker February 24th, 2006, 05:42 PM I shot this recently up near Tahoe. Nothing like starting off your forum history with a "bang"! (laughs) Shane Ross February 24th, 2006, 08:36 PM I have "live" cannon fire (live rounds...actual cannon balls) that was shot at 60 fps, then slowed down. Man, even then the cannon fire takes a fraction of a second. From gone in 2 frames to gone in 6. Looks great though... Robert Lane February 25th, 2006, 01:29 AM What's with you guys and this heavy firepower? Are you sure you're not better off shooting big guns for the military rather than "shooting" cameras? (laughs) Andrew Todd February 25th, 2006, 01:34 AM love the guns Shane Ross February 25th, 2006, 04:04 AM I'm editing a documentary on the Mexican American War, with recreations. David Eggerichs February 25th, 2006, 10:08 AM I swear if I had that type of weaponry I would have doing my first 60p "shoot" just as you did. Nice job. Now go find a deer. Andrew Walker February 26th, 2006, 09:34 PM Glad you guys liked it. Jeff Patnaude February 27th, 2006, 09:37 AM Just out of curiosity- what type of gun was that? Looked like a SKS with a different stock, but also had a different magazine. Prettier than my Yugo with a grenade launcher by far. Can't wait to get the CA model. Alan Galbraith February 27th, 2006, 11:36 PM it is CA legal Andrew Walker February 28th, 2006, 12:22 AM I know. Its the C model that isn't because of the folding stock on it. It would also be nice to get the Delta model, the 12" barrel. But there's no way in hell I think you can have those in CA. Plus even if you did get it you have to pay an extra $200 to the ATF because its a short barrel rifle or something like that. Erick von Schulz March 13th, 2006, 12:50 AM I really liked your test footage.. Great color and awesome Slow-mo... Post some more when you get some.... Thanks alot for sharing.. Sergio Perez March 13th, 2006, 04:20 AM I swear if I had that type of weaponry I would have doing my first 60p "shoot" just as you did. Nice job. Now go find a deer. Just choose wisely who you go hunting with... Word of advice- don't go with the Vice-President! |
