I'm shooting with DV, is there going to be a difference if I captured

from camera-->firewire-->computer or
from camera-->componet(BNC)-->computer

Anyone out there knows the best way to obtain maximun quality.

Thanks

with DV stick with firewire.. ur jsut transferring 1 and 0s

if ur working with DCPRo or DigiBeta, Component is the way to go, just be aware of the additional D/A conversions for audio.. it could degrade quaity

firewire.
firewire is slightly better than SDI, which is better than component.

SDI will be better than component. It's digital, so there's no extra generation loss. SDI will sometimes be lower quality than firewire, since your footage is prone to an additional digital re-compression (i.e. DV --> SDI --> DV).
SDI may have a time bonus since the DV deck will likely apply chroma interpolation when decoding the DV stream. This is helpful if you're chroma keying.
Doing it in post can be higher quality, but you'd need to render.
