I asked for a refund (500$), but I'm still waiting for it.
I remember someone from Boston was preparing a law suit as well, and was looking for other people in the same situation. Back then I was about to receive my refund so I didn't contact the guy, but I'm still waiting... I might reconsider it.

Quoc

As I have said in other posts...

I contacted Magiqcam as they are only an hour away from me and talked with the new owner. He said he is working on filling all the backorders before taking any new orders. There was a problem and he wants to take care of it.

He said he would consider taking a new order only if the buyer could wait for 8 weeks to have it delivered.

He doesn't get on the forums as he's busy building stabilizers so I thought I would let you all know what I learned.

Here's hoping for Magiqcams future sucess...

I think it doesn't really make any difference if he could take about 5 mins off his time to comment on the forum. I'm sorry but that is a poor excuse. For all the problems that people have been having I would think it would be an act of curtiousy for him to take a few minutes of his time to give some sense of comfort.

So I'm still going to take his response as a grain of salt.

I agree with Charles.

BTW, I would say pay the money and get the goods at the same time is world standard business method. I can't imagine why someone will pay money and wait goods for several months for uncertain status.

Leigh

Leigh,

That's my way of thinking as well. I try to learn from others' mistakes as well as their success'. We will be billing at the time of shipping as I sure you will Leigh. By-the-way, where is that stabilizer? Heck, you're even slower than I was.

Charles,

I'll try to let him know of your comments and how to post on this forum. I'm not his spokesman so I probably should but-out.

Smooth shooting!

Hi Tery,

May I ask why your connection to the gimbal in this photo is different than other s?

Here is your photo url link.

What is the purpose for that?

Leigh,

It is so you can use the arm with our sled, the Glidecam 2000/4000, VreezeCam and other handheld sleds. Also it allows the operator to use it handheld for short shots or to slip it on the arm for longer shots.

Another benefit is when using it on the arm the operator can use the slight friction of the gimbal to arm connection to change the camera pan slightly and thus make up for some camera drift. At least that's what I have used it for. It's kind of hard to explain but easy to show. I'll be at NAB so I hope to see a lot of the members of this forum there!

Alright Leigh, let's have a look at you rig!
