View Full Version : Are cordless mice/keyboards safe? (Interference?)

Hi,

I'm planning to set up a system with an Edirol FA-66 and a pair of small Genelecs (8020) on table stands. This would be a tabletop system because of space constraints. I would also like to upgrade my Logitech trackball to a newer version with a scroll wheel. That device would be cordless.

Hence, the audio interface, cables (balanced...) and speakers would be within the reach of the radio emitter of the trackball/mouse.

Would this cause interference?

- if this proves to be a good solution, then I could get a wireless keyboard, too -

I use a wireless mouse and keyboard at my home studio with no noise at all.
Is it an infra-red wireless or a radio frequency wireless you want to use?

Radio frequency. The frequency, however, is unknown.

I suppose Logitech thinks that "cordless" is informative enough.
Not a single word about RFI.
