Hello,
I have a great opportunity to hang out of a helicopter to shoot some video of moving cars. After my initial excitement wore off, I started to think of a few challenges to overcome. So here are my questions:
1. Does anyone know of a good harness or lanyard for the A1? I don't want my new camera to fly out of my hand and in the best case, smash upon impact with the ground, or worst case, strike the tail rotor and then me smash upon impact with the ground!
2. Autofocus or manual focus? I think the helicopter will be traveling at the same speed as the cars and also at relatively fixed distance.
3. Any suggestions for steadying the shot? Will the shoulder mounted spider brace help? How about using the steady shot on the A1?
Any ideas are appreciated, including do-it-yourself solutions (simple ones!). I have a budget of around $500.
Thanks,
Michael
