Michael Galvan October 6th, 2007, 02:14 PM No, this adapter does flip the image right side up ... Alan Ortiz October 6th, 2007, 05:00 PM This may seem crazy, but Im looking to trade my JVC-HD100UA (42 DRUM HOURS) for an HVX200. Ive seen both users switch to one or the other for various reasons, and believe it or not, I've just always wanted to try one out for the sake of trying it out. I really don't have another reason other than that. Comes with all the stuff it originally came with, box and all. Battery was never used. Includes elura IDX battery, and charger Anton Bauer Power Tap. Ive got some very worthwhile extras that can go with it if there are extras involved such as extra batteries, or P2 cards. Let me know if anyone is interested! I can send pictures if needed. Thanks. Alan Alan Ortiz October 6th, 2007, 05:05 PM $335 shipped... Tom Robertson October 6th, 2007, 06:24 PM Item Is Sold! Emre Safak October 7th, 2007, 04:23 PM Some people asked about the goodies. They are: Six batteries (compatible with DVX/HVX): 1 1600mAh, 3 2200mAh, 2 3200mAh. Additional battery charger. B+W protective filter (which means the real lens has never come into contact with the elements) Panasonic shoulder bag. For an additional $199, I will include a Beachtek DXA-6. This battery-driven, dual-XLR, phantom-powered unit will turn the camcorder into a mini-DVX at a fraction of the cost. I've successfully used it to record shorts with professional, condensor mics (and I'll gladly provide audio samples!) Working manual link (http://www.sawvideo.com/youth/downloads2/panasonicPVDV953.PDF) (thanks for catching that, Ken) Ken Grohs October 7th, 2007, 04:40 PM Manual (PDF) link is broken. I (as well as you) am in PAL land. How did you use this since you couldn't be getting 25p out of the cam? Dale Stoltzfus October 8th, 2007, 07:19 AM Offer sent. Scott Hayes October 8th, 2007, 08:32 AM I am selling two 2yr old AB digital trimpac 14 batteries, with dual charger. The charger also features a 4 pin XLR connector to power cameras in the field. The batteries are in excellent condition and work perfectly. I also have a Ultra Light 2 w/Softbox. Lastly, I have the goldmount QR-HDV to power any of the Sony handycams which take L batteries. This cable was specially made for me by AB, before it came to market. the MAJOR difference between my cable and the one you buy, is that mine has a power tap for the light, as an auxillary cable, at the same location as the camera battery adapter. So, your light doesn't need a second 3-4ft cable to tap the gold mount for power. It can run any on camera light that has the 2prong plug (frezzi, pag, AB, NRG, etc.) Here's the prices: Pics are here: http://homepage.mac.com/scott.hayes/PhotoAlbum38.html Adam La Prade October 8th, 2007, 08:48 AM I have a sale pending, but I'm possibly looking for a backup? Price lowered to $575 including shipping! Mathieu Bergeron October 8th, 2007, 09:47 AM When shooting in DV mode: I set the camera to 24p Advanced (same setting when using Andromeda). I digitize with remove pulldown enabled. Then I conform the clips from 23,98 to 25 (speed up) with Apple Cinema Tools. I edit with the clips at 25p 720X480. At the end I scale the master from 480 to 576. If I dont care about exact final duration, I edit everything at 23.98 fps and do the conform and scale operations only on my final master. 60 minutes at 23.97 will give 57m33s at 25. The speeding-up of image and sound is not perceptible and I found the scale to be acceptable. It is not as simple as shooting 25p but since I wanted uncompressed Andro stuff, I had to deal with 24p. It ended up not that hard and quite an interesting option for film out. When shooting Andromeda: With the Andromeda footage the procedure is similar except that scale isn't an issue and you are starting with a 24 fps version. In the end 24p is a great compromise between Film, NTSC and PAL. David Clark October 8th, 2007, 04:13 PM Cleaning out the closet. I've got a "Studio 1" 2 channel proc amp for sale. I bought it new in '96. There is some video noise when making adjustments on channel A "gain" , but it's a clean picture when adjustment is finished. I actually only used channel B, since I only needed one channel anyway. This unit will also convert S video to RCA, or vise versa. The unit was actually made by "Sign Video", and is now sold under that brand. http://www.signvideo.com/single_dual_proc-amp_video-processor.htm#dual Here are photos of the actual unit: http://www.box.net/shared/zn319c3z60 Asking $350.00 David Clark October 8th, 2007, 04:23 PM Cleaning out the closet. Mark Charles Papert October 9th, 2007, 01:18 AM David: That's a Steadicam JR--only recently discontinued by Tiffen (originally manufactured by Cinema Products) and still supported. You can get spare screws from Tiffen, along with others parts in the $45 accessory pack (http://steadicam.com/images/content/JR_List_11807.pdf) or probably order just the mounting screw direct from Tiffen as needed.
