Jeff Kilgroe April 30th, 2007, 11:37 AM Selling a PowerMac G5 Quad
2 x 2.5GHz Dual Core CPUs (quad core total)
nVidia Quadro FX4500 512MB w/dual DVI-DL & Genlock
4GB (4x1GB) RAM
2 x 500GB HDDs
16X SuperDrive
Wired Keyboard + MightyMouse (used only 1 week)
OSX 10.4 Tiger
iLife '05 (I just use the pro-apps, so never updated to '06).
Still under AppleCare coverage, but I'm trying to check on the actual expiration date. Apple has re-done their AppleCare support site and my serial number and APP are not showing in my account. All running gread and I use this system daily with no issues. It will ship with low-level formatted drives and the new owner can configure and install OSX how they see fit.
I'm asking $3,500 or best offer. Buyer pays shipping. It's available for local pick-up in the Denver, CO area.
Additionally, I have a PCI-Express nVidia 7800GT 512MB video card that will work in any of the PCI-Express G5 PowerMac systems. It comes complete with the card and power cable. This was actually a pull from the above listed system as we had to upgrade the video card in order to drive dual 30" monitors. This card is an excellent performer and would make a fine upgrade to any PCI-E G5 system that's currently equipped with the nVidia 6600, 7200 or other lesser options.
I'm asking $100 or best offer. Buyer pays shipping. Can pick this one up too if you're local...

Dylan Couper May 1st, 2007, 11:13 AM I know, problem is the only things to break off are the wireless, and the matte box, light.
I am throwing in the case, the batteries need to go with the camera, as the AB kit is pointless without it.
Sell the accessories for sure, you'll sell them much faster and for more money, they hold value better than the camera. Those AB batteries will probably sell faster than your camera will, so sell two of them, and leave one in the kit.
Few people are going to pay more than the brand new price of the camera for a kit, so get your asking price as low as you can, and piece out the leftovers, there are a ton of us HD100/110 owners looking for them.

Waldemar Winkler May 1st, 2007, 05:51 PM What are the differences between the 100 and the 200? Just the number of jacks? I just want to be able to connect a set of wireless mics to the camera, period! But I did hear however that the ma-100 had some problems with cheap manufacturing and they broke easily, is this true?
I've got an MA-100, an MA-200, and a SignVideo (similar to, if not better than Beachtek) XLR to stereo mini-plug adapter.
The MA 200 allows 4 XLR connections (useless to me, as I always record 16 bit, 48k), BNC video in/out, and telescopes backward on a set of metal rails to allow more space for mounting accessories on the camera (that is a big plus). The MA-100 was a huge step forward in balancing the weight of the 16X lens, and the MA-200 made the balancing act better. Never had an issue with structural weakness. Just remember that the 1/4"-20 socket in the camera used to secure the MA adapters is NOT a tripod mount!
The Signvideo adapter is a wonderful piece of equipment, but it doesn't allow for accessory mounting options.
Jeff Mayne May 1st, 2007, 05:57 PM I just bought a Canon MA-100 with Anton Bauer battery adapter off of Ebay for $45.00 so I will see how it works for me. I have heard that the MA-100 falls apart quick. Does any one know where I can get the accessory plate to attach a wireless receiver? Thanks guys,

Patrick Moreau May 1st, 2007, 11:31 PM For what its worth, I just picked up a used Flyer not too long ago after used several glidecams, magiqcams, merlins etc. It is an awesome system with many features and well worth the investment. Anybody considering varizoom, I would strongly consider taking a look at this one here. They sure don't come up used that often.

Jim Fields May 2nd, 2007, 02:16 AM Problem I am having is the possibility of a huge loss.
At any rate, at this point I would be happy to trade the camera for a Sony V1U so I can record my newborn baby with something that is not a shoulder mount, and just sell off the accessories and maybe keep the wireless for future use.
The camera is to big for what I need now, anyone possibly interested in a trade should try to reach me. I still want to stay in an HDV format.

Greg Watts May 2nd, 2007, 07:11 AM I bought this back in June 2006 from BH Photo and ended up never getting to use it in any of the productions I'd intended to use it in so it's literally only got two hours of use. I'm in Louisville, KY and will only ship to the US via UPS. Paypal or money order only please.
Post in this thread or leave me a PM and we can work out arrangements. I can also be reached at gwatts59 (at) insightbb dot com.
Greg Watts May 2nd, 2007, 07:17 AM Purchased from BH Photo in June and never used in a production environment. Less than 5 hours of usage and in perfect condition. I'm in Louisville, KY and will only ship to the US via UPS. Paypal or money order only please.
Post in this thread or leave me a PM and we can work out arrangements. I can also be reached via email at gwatts59 (at) insightbb dot com.
Jaron Berman May 2nd, 2007, 08:12 AM Agreed, thanks for the kind (and true) words Patrick!
The price is now $5800 w/o batteries or $7200 w/ 4-IDX e10s batteries and a charger. The batteries have less than 10 cycles each, making them practically brand new. I used productions batteries most of the time I used the rig, so my batts are very fresh. Either way, if you've been looking to get into a real rig, this represents a pretty significant discount over new, and this rig is practically new.
To compare, this is about the same cost as the new Pilot, but with FAR more capability. This is a more precise rig, and can handle 1.5x the weight of the Pilot. The gimbal is better, the stage is more accurate, the batteries have more flexibility, and the weight capacity is higher. Also, the vest is stiffer. If you're waiting for the new rig, it would be worth your while to check out a Flyer - a more capable rig at the same (if not slightly lower) price.
Also, please see my other listing for the companion Wireless transmitter and Marshall monitor. Together, you have a fully wireless steadicam system with batts to power everything and a director's monitor to view your shot. I will sell separately, or $10,000 takes it. Thats about 35% off the new price (referencing the best prices I could find on every item).
Gabriel Yeager May 2nd, 2007, 09:24 AM Greg, this is just an FYi; but I can get a brand new one from amazon for $700.
Best of luck on your sell!
~Gabriel
Greg Watts May 2nd, 2007, 09:56 AM Really? Because I just surfed over there and the only offers I see are for $799 so unless you're getting a different version of Amazon I don't see anything in that price range.
I searched by both Steadicam and Merlin to make sure I wasn't missing it somehow. Thanks for the heads up though.
Steve Maller May 2nd, 2007, 10:35 AM I'm interested.
Tried to contact you but you have no PM or email links in your profile...
