Sorry to post this again but I made some adjustments and also uploaded some photos of the gear for those interested:

http://www.pinelakefilms.com/cameraphotos.html

Make me a reasonable offer (retail value of all of this is about $7500). My preference would be a bank wire or a check because Paypal eats my lunch with fees at this level. If you really want to do Paypal, then fine, let's talk:

Here's what's on offer:
Sony DSR-250 - excellent condition, with original shotgun mic and original battery.
Century Optics Widescreen 16:9 adapter
Century Optics .65 wide angle adapter
Century Optics Achromatic Diopter
Century Optics 2x Teleconverter
LCD Screen magnifer Model DS-LCDM-00
NRG AC Power supply
Anton Bauer *UL2 Ultralight (with flip down daylight filter)
Large soft black carry bag with lots of room for accessories
Kata shoulder strap for camera (industrial strength!)

All in excellent condition.

I am not selling the battery charger, you would need to find that yourself elsewhere.

It hurts me to see how cheap you are selling this camera. That's about what I paid for the battery/charger kit on mine....
I have to sell mine soon, since I've gone HD (with another JVC). In any case, I have to heartilly recommend this camera model to anyone looking for a an SD ENG package - EFP too, if you aren't committed to the 24p look (overdone IMHO). There is no better way to learn how to use a real broadcast style camera.

Rickey,

What type of quality are you looking for? I have one of these: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=Search&A=details&Q=&sku=280124&is=REG&addedTroughType=search

The only thing is that a piece broke off on one of the wheel brake things, however even with the piece broken off it the brake still functions. I also have another one just like that only it doesn't have any brand name on it, however it is the exact same thing and has hardly been used. The first one I would sell for $25 shipped and the second I would sell for $30 shipped. Let me know if interested.

I am selling a Like-New Gitzo G1380 Fluid Head. I purchased this head for a specific job, which required using a farely light-weight camera, where my O'Connor 1030S would not work. The head is in perfect condition, and shows no signs of use. This head is similar to a Manfrotto (Bogen) 505/3465 (which is no longer available). This head has a 75mm half-ball base.

You can refer to B&H (search Gitzo G-1380) as well as Bogen Imaging (www.bogenimaging.us) for details and specs.

Included with the head, are the following (additional) items:

- Manfrotto 501PLONG Quick Release Plate (Extra Long with tie down screws)
- Manfrotto 3465PL Low Profile Stock Quick Release Plate (with tie down screws)
- x2 Gitzo 3460HK Extendable Pan Handles
- x1 3465HK Pan Handle (stock)
- Additional Counter Balance Spring Set (includes allen wrench & instructions)
- Locking Handle (tie down handle)
- 75mm to 100mm Bowl adapter
- Warranty Card (blank 2 years!)

I am asking $650, which includes all of the items mentioned above ($150 in extras!), as well as FedEx Ground and PayPal fees. I would prefer payment via PayPal.

Feel free to contact me with questions.

Regards,

Jordan

1 year old Sony A1U that has been used for balcony cam wide shot and not much else. Way more features than I need for a static wide shot. Everything has been kept in mint condition. The Sony Master tape that it came with was never even used. The little plastic thing in the remote that keeps the battery from being used up...still there! The XLR microphone's sock.... still in the bag (dust free since day one).

Everything is packed as if it were factory fresh with all of the original bags and twisty ties (yeah, I'm anal). The box is missing its UPC code because I rebated this puppy when I got it.

PLUS you get over $100 in extras... a standoff tripod plate so that you can easily (un)load tapes when this bottom loading camera is on a tripod. These stand off plates are really hard to find now.

AND an extra really big battery that will give you 300 minutes of power when shooting HDV (340 min in DV/DVCAM mode).

Wait, I have decided to also add an FX1 to the deal. Say what? I'm a tech junkie... I want to upgrade it.

This FX1 ran no more than twice as much as the A1U... it was not my main camera it only served as second cam during ceremony and the important parts of the reception. The FX1 has no meters, so all you have is my word. It too comes with all of the original accessories, neatly packaged in the original box.

Also included is a huge Impact 970 battery for the FX1.

AND FREE shipping

All this for only $4585

pictures can be found here http://picasaweb.google.com/canavideo/SONYA1U

FX1 pics will go up later.

Yeah...thats what I thought too when Jared sold me one of his 40GB firestores, but its a Pro version all the way. Im not sure if this was simply an upgrade to the software or what, but it works with all the Pro features its supposed to have. I just upgraded mine with the Apple Quicktime(30p only) update so I dont even have to convert the .M2t's for our ENG stuff. I have mine velcroed securely to the back of my IDX batteries, which works amazingly well. I bought the Anton Bauer Power tap to connect the IDX batt's for power, solving the 1 hour battery problem, and a short firewire cable to connect it to the cam. I haven't run a tape through it since.

And Jared is a pleasure to do business with- I got my firestore very quickly!

Peace!

Just wanted to say that the transaction with Ben went smooth and the package arrived (albeit a bit late, which i thoroughly blame on the mailing system ugh) - the Dxa-4 was packaged tight and thoroughly and seems to be in good working condition, although i don't have a mic yet to try it :)

Communication with Ben was quick and easy and i wouldn't hesitate to buy from him again.

Thanks again Ben and terrific doing business with you!

Just wanted to put this out there - I'm in the market for a set of sticks for my FX1 and I'd be absolutely open to buying used on here.

Also wanting to establish some sorta criteria - i.e i'm open to paying via cash or cheque if LOCAL - however if you're in the States (which most of you are), i'd prefer to use paypal. (I'm just saying this as someone had wanted me to send cash over regular mail to him.. uh geepers?)

Anyways, if you're selling or are thinking of selling in the new future or are upgrading and wanting to help a noobie filmmaker out, i'd MUCH appreciate a shout out - thanks very much!

Vishal,

I don't know if it's out of your budget, but check out the post for "Gitzo G1380 Fluid Head" in this forum. I use the same head for my Z1 and it's absolutely amazing. Worth every penny. I use it with a set of Gitzo 1325 carbon legs, but you can find something else that the head will fit on.

Everyone says take the plunge and spend the money on a good tripod. It will last you forever, and make all your shots better.

The Manfrotto 501 is not bad, but it's nowhere near as good as the Gitzo.

I have a brand-new Bogen 501 head that's never been used that I'd sell for $115.00 USD.

No box (got thrown away).
Bought it for 2nd camera support but never used a 2nd camera. It has never had anything mounted on it, or been mounted to any tripod. It's been sitting on a shelf in my office.

Comes with QR plate and long pan handle.

Shipping extra, and PayPal fees extra (if used).
I usually ship by Global Priority Mail to Canada. Or, if you happen to come down to the Seattle area you could pick it up.

Let me know if interested.

Hey Ken
Sounds tempting for sure - however i was kinda looking for both head+ sticks combo so i won't have to pay double shipping as it can get kinda expensive.. I'll think on it tho...

If anyone else has a 501 + stix, let me know!

This Item is in like new condition, $700 or best offer.

Product description
High quality solid-state audio recorder, the ARES-M is principally designed to be used in any ultra-portable recording situation, and can replace MINIDISK©. Its recording media is a 1 GB built-in memory, for the recording of PCM Mono or Stereo audio. MPEG compression allows for longer recording times. The unit is powered by two “AA” batteries, offering more than 10 hours operation.

Equipped with a built-in microphone, it is also delivered with an external clip-on stereo microphone. Extra high quality external Mono (omni-directional) and Stereo (Cardioid) clip on microphones are available as additional accessories. A traditional external microphone can also be used thanks to the XLR input cable supplied with the unit. Designed for radio applications, the ARES-M offers instant start-up, one button recording, automatic level control, internal loudspeaker, voice-operated recording, low cut filter and onboard graphic audio editor.

The portion to be edited is shown in reverse video, and the IN and OUT points can be trimmed to locate the exact cut point. The position of each point is clearly indicated thus simple cut editing in-the-field is very easy.

The editor is totally non-destructive, meaning that the original material remains unchanged.

Compatibility
The ARES-M offers a miniature USB port. Through this connection, the internal memory appears on the “desktop” as a mass storage device (external drive) of the PC / MAC and requires NO additional software or drivers.

Built-in loudspeaker

Mint condition glidecam 4000. No longer needed as I have a full body-mounted rig and a steadicam merlin. This works great for cameras like the vx2100/PD170 all the way up to heavier cams like the FX1 (although it is heavier to lift with heavier cameras). The forearm brace, unlike the bodypod, really helps with shooting for extended periods and is a worthwhile add-on. This is not a genuine glidecam forearm brace but from what I can tell it was manufactured identically to the glidecam and I don't think the buyer would have noticed a difference had I not menitoned it.

Asking $350 for the pair. Both items are absolutely mint. hipping can be done by any method your prefer and I will only charge what it costs.

This item is in like new condition. $250 or best offer.

Designed for Sony and Canon Mini DV, and Hi8 cameras, the 521PRO is a compact remote control that is built onto a small clamp to suit a wide range of applications.

The 521PRO enables you to control power, recording, zoom and focus. Like the 523PRO, the 521PRO features manual focus buttons and an auto focus button, allowing you to achieve in-focus images easily when working in manual focus mode. (Note: Auto focus does not work with all cameras; click here to see Remote Control and Camera Compatibility Chart for specific information)

The 521PRO also has a progressive zoom speed (the further you rotate the zoom wheel, the faster the zoom), a fixed zoom speed (irrespective of the rotation applied to the wheel, zoom speed remains constant), or a customizable maximum speed, which you can set to exactly the level you want. To set a "custom"zoom speed, simply hold the zoom speed button until the LED flashes and use the wheel to record your speed. The LED shows you which speed you have selected.

The 521PRO can be used for a wide variety of applications. It can be mounted to a huge range of supports, such as pipes, bars, tubes, and flat surfaces.

The Bogen/Manfrotto 521PRO is a camera controller designed specifically for the LANC protocol used by Sony and Canon MiniDV, HDV and Hi8 camcorders. The unit can control many critical functions remotely, including power, zoom speed, record, and focus. The 521PRO comes equipped with the 522SCA 10" (25 cm) coiled cable which can extend up to 20" (50 cm.)

Mint condition sony vx2100. Grabbed a couple HD Canon cams so this is no longer needed. Not used too heavily as we shoot with 4-5 cams so the use is distributed between them and this one does not have that much use. Glass is perfect and cosmetically the camera only has scratched on the bottom where it mounts to a tripod.

Comes with the charger, stock lens hood, strap and battery.

Also included in the package, a Canon wide angle lens with a lens hood for the wide angle. I will also include three extra long life generic batteries, a polarizer, UV filter, and a tiffen 4 point star burst filter ($60).

Looking for $1850US shipped for the whole package.

Add the glidecam 4000 and forearm brace for a total of $2150US shipped.
