I don't care about tape mechanism, on-camera controls, audio side, or firewire. Camera will work on remote pan/tilt base using LANC for zooming.

Dave Robinson November 13th, 2007, 11:01 AM Hey all,
I'm on a bit of a budget here and need a second camera. I'm interested in either an XL1 /s or an XM2 if I have to. I'd prefer the XL simply because it's what I use at the moment, but an XM would be acceptable if the price were right! ;-)
I'm in the UK and as such would prefer to deal with others in the UK for the sake of transport etc...
Thanks
Dave

Stuart Brontman November 13th, 2007, 10:02 PM I may be forced to sell a mint condition Xena LHe card due to incompatibility with my motherboard in my editing PC. If interested, please let me know. I'll be making a decision within 1-2 days. Selling price would be around $1200. The card would come with the break out cable system. If I sell it, I'll go down the list of interested buyers in the order of the time of inquiry. I was able to get the LHe card after I found a buyer for my Xena LH card, thinking the LHe card would work in my system... Oh well...
Thanks.
Stuart
David Chia November 14th, 2007, 03:58 AM I can say that after owning the Original Brevis mount and Geardear lens mount and Cavision lens mount. I came up with this solution. The rubber paddings absolbs the vibration of the Brevis or the Letus and also grips the Lens .
I made 2 extra lens support . I'm currently using two and will be also using it for my Letus extreme that is coming.
Brevis to rail mount ( modified) from the Cinevate Universal Blocks (15mm standard) I use it as a long lens support and also as my Brevis support. It is rubber padded so it does not scratch the Brevis , Letus or lenses and it is also height adjustable (45mm to 110mm measured from the top of the block to the centre of the lens). It is more then enough for matte box or follow focus unit.
It is also galvanized to make it black not spray painted. The diameter of the clamp is between 75mm - 80mm but because of the rubber padding surrounding it . It clamps between 73mm - 78mm. Thus making it perfect to clamp even the Letus Economy (76mm) down on to rails .
It is fully lockable with an internal locking screw and nut so that it doesn't turn or tilt. I will also throw in a HEX key for the locking down of the screw.
100euros for the mount set, Free shiping within Germany .For people in the E.U, just add 7euros more for registered mail . People in the U.S or else where add 10euros more for registered mail.

James Brill November 15th, 2007, 12:59 AM Willing to trade for a computer?
Amos Kim November 15th, 2007, 02:13 AM how do these batteries compare to the dionic90?
Bryan Roberts November 15th, 2007, 04:57 AM Only a scarily unfair trade like a new 8core mac etc. etc...
George Bean November 15th, 2007, 09:17 AM the dionic 90 is a larger battery with a longer run time than the proformer.
the proformer is ideal for powering a camera, monitor, audio mixer firestore etc.
the dionic allows for powering devices with a higher current draw for a longer run time, such as camera and on cam light with accessories.
the titan twin is compatible with the dionic batteries.

please let me know if you have any questions, thanks
