Dumb newbie like question, but I have to know. With adequate lighting would the -3 gain level produce less noise than 0 level? What is the purpose of the -3 gain setting?

Since the manufacturers generally don't share their technical secrets, we probably will never get in-depth how-they-do-it explanations, but rather end-user observations, as in all the linked threads. |
