Is there a better lens cup one can buy for an XL1?
I find when filming outdoors stray sunlight sneaks in and make it hard to focus!

Hmm, Optex sells one that was actually designed to protect the color LCD from sunlight damage (rather than your eye). Look at: http://www.optexint.com/digivid/xleye.htm

I've never tried either product but have been similarly interested in a more comfortable replacement.

I just saw the film "Chopper" (at least, that's what I think the title was) about the real-life street hood who used to knock off other criminal types.

Was the characterization in the movie on the nose; I mean, I thought the movie was somewhat lenient toward and forgiving of Chopper, who supposedly now lives on a farm in Tasmania.

Yes Alan, he lives on a farm about 20kms from Hobart where I live, yes the film probably made him seem like a kind of folk hero? I wouldnt like to meet him on a dark night! Maybe I could take my Xl1 down one night and get some footage, but camcorder and videographer might not return in the same condition?
