This sound ridiculous to compare both models, but I've been working with my old XL1 in for almost 8 years now and now I pre-ordered the HVX200.
Reading different posts always lead to different questions. And since I've read some complaints and some wonderful things, I figured out that there's nothing to worry about since I've been working very well with a camera that has far less features and specs.
My key questions are:
A- Is the HVX200 more sensitive to light (less lux rating) than my old XL1?
B- Does any of the progressive modes are better looking than my "frame" mode?
C- Is it as blocky as the XL1 or as the DV codec at all?
D- Is keying "thinkable" in this machine?
E- Is there anything, besides interchangeable lens system, that is better in my old XL1 than in the HVX200?
F- How good is the OIS in the HVX200? The Canon is very good.
G- What about gain? The 12dB in Canon is very good too.
Thanks,
EDWIN
