View Full Version : Action Flick Music Video
Salvador Peralta January 11th, 2006, 02:48 PM HI GUYS, MY NAME IS SAL, I WANT TO SHOW YOU THE MUSIC VIDEO I DID FOR FREE FOR MY BROTHER'S BAND. IT WAS DONE WITH MY OLD AG-DVC200 FULL SIZE DV CAM (I sold it 4 months ago, and now i want something lighter like the GS-400) We edited on Media 100 with adobe afther efects.. I got inspired watching the trailer of SIN CITY!!! Lots of action and blood. Got a lot of heat from the networks because they thought it was too violent for a love song. It's in spanish though....so, hope everybody at least have fun with the visuals.

Patrick Jenkins February 8th, 2006, 09:29 AM Very nice!
Eric Brown February 8th, 2006, 03:40 PM Although I see the ref' to Sin City (comic panels), it felt a whole lot more like El Mariachi. Nicely done integration of the live action and After Effects stuff. Good job!
Evan C. King February 9th, 2006, 05:25 AM That was a really awesome music video! I loved everything about it! Your skills are too good for a gs400(now the slightly worse 500) you should get an fx1 and downconvert, your work looks great and this would make it look even better!
Other than the comic panels this much more reminded me of el mariachi and desparado but hey it's all rodriguez work right?
Giuseppe Palumbo February 16th, 2006, 01:22 AM If you dont mind me asking, how do you do that? that comic effect.
Waheed AlQawasmi February 16th, 2006, 11:38 AM WOW!!!, THAT WAS COOL. And for me to say that is really hard, I love your work, where are you based at??

Wes Coughlin February 16th, 2006, 05:54 PM iMUY BIEN!
Dylan Couper February 17th, 2006, 08:00 PM Great video!
I wish you'd do a video for free for my band.
If I had a band...
:)
Barry Gribble February 17th, 2006, 08:14 PM Sal,
That video is fantastic all around. Great job.
Questions:
1. Did you have the comic-book stuff story boarded before you shot? Or did you shoot and just select the good frames to treat that way?
2. How many days of shooting did you do?
3. How much time in post did you spend?
Keep it up, and show us more when you can.
Glenn Chan February 17th, 2006, 10:50 PM That was cool.
Eddy Strickland February 23rd, 2006, 06:28 AM That was fantastic! I especially liked what you did with the jump cuts of the couple before they go to the bed
Well done that truly is a gorgeous video
Jeremy Hughes February 24th, 2006, 12:25 PM I saw this a couple weeks ago and forgot to say it was awesome! I mean what you did with a little camera is amazing. Also shows your skills within prepro and post - nice work!
Paul Daley February 28th, 2006, 03:24 PM Neat. reminds me of El mariachi.
Eniola Akintoye March 2nd, 2006, 06:34 PM LOVED IT!!!.
