Hi David,

I filmed a short marketing piece with my JVC HD1.
Each scene has words flying in from the sides and dissolving.
I used the text editor in PPro.
The moving type appears to hesitate periodically instead of moving smoothly.
Is it possible to get smooth moving type in PPro with CineForm?
Would After Effects do a better job at this?

When I export to DVD the image degrades dramatically.
When I export a WMV some computers play it very jerky or not art all.
It works okay on others. Is it codex problem?

What is the most dependable distribution solution?

Cyberlink’s PowerDirector 5 claims to make HD DVDs. Have you heard anything about it?

Thanks,

Roger

I use WM9, however, I deinterlace first, and keep the frame size down to 1280X720 even with a 1080i camera, and the data rate at around 5Mbps.

Smooth motion titles can be done in Premiere. DVD exports from 720p30 to NTSC should look very good (although not HD.) For HD playback WM9 clips at 720p should playback on any PC built in the last two years.
