Thanks Tony---I found one thread with a general discussion---I was wondering if anybody had actually used them yet? For instance, I have the 35mm L 1.4---a great lens--just wondering if I could pop it onto the XLH1 if I decide one and what I should expect. Meryem Ersoz January 10th, 2006, 03:42 PM david, you need to read through this thread: http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?t=56642 all of the posted experiments with canon lenses and EF adapter are on this thread. the lens you mentioned has not specifically been tested, but other lenses have, including the 400mm prime, so while no one has tested all of the 50+ 35mm lenses canon builds, this is the best, most current info that dvinfo has on 35mm lens testing with the H1. the general conclusion seems to be that the EF adapter + 35mm lenses should work fine, but there's a range of differences among 35mm lenses (which is true no matter which camera the lens is paired with....) |
