Showing #1: Dr.Dontry captures the footage she took of the sea monster using an FX1 at a copy center.

Showing #2: An FX1 (not a Z1 as some people might suspect) is used to film segments of the news story that was to be aired on MSNBC.

And before Surface, Navy NCIS used a FX1 to examine a body.

Is hollywood using the FX1 in more and more TV shows (and I perdict to soon be coming to use in films) to grab the attention of young filmmakers or just hink the FX1 is a cheap and effective prop?

Hi Jack,
My Dad retired from the movie and TV business, and a lot of companies pay to have their products shown. It's called product placement. So either Sony is doing this or they may have stock in the shows. Check the ending credits for Sony Pictures. Also the producer or director may just like the look of the camera, and use it in the show. Usually in that case, the Sony logo on the camera will not show, because that would be free advertising for Sony. Ray

They opaque black duct taped the trademarked part cassette mechanism, so it could be free advertising for the cam.
