I'm sorry to ask this to Mr. Newman, as it's probably been answered many times, but...why isn't this codec on the Mac w/FCP?

Is there a simple answere why? I would love to use this codec w/FCP, especially if I'm able to acquire an H1 in the near future. I am deeply entrenched in the FCP studio workflow, but would love to work with this format.
