View Full Version : Aspect 3.4 HD bug at 720p25fr audio sync

I'm exporting my project recorded at HDV 720p 25fr made with the Adobe selecting the preset 1280x720p 25 fr.
From the timeline everything is ok. When I export the Audio is faster, compared to the video. I tried different media players.

Then I exported the audio as a seperate file to test, to see if I could fix it that way. And that file clearly shows that the audio is shorter. So this should be re-producable for the Cineform guys to checkout.
My video is 5 min 25 sec 17 fr, The audio is 5 min 23 sec 01 frames when exported! When I stretch the audio, to match the time length again, it's still no good.
Then I tried to export to M2T, but the plug-in settings don't allow me to set 25 frames. Not for 720p 25fr Even if I go to the listbox with different framerates I only can set 29.97 fr.

So currently the plugin is not 100% working for the European guys.
I need a fix urgently please, I'm running out of time with my deadline.

Marc,

Run HDLink and read the build number from the splash screen. If it is less then build 44, download it again and re-test.

To export to 720p 25 you need to use "CineForm M2T" mode under "Setting"->"File Type", then select "CineForm M2T 720p 25 (JVC ProHD)" from the video tab, make sure you set the pixel aspect to 1.0. 25p exports to M2T has been tested and it works well.

We have not aware of any bugs of this type in Aspect HD, and I think you find build 44 (of Aspect HD 3.4) and the export options described above will meet your needs.

David, you saved my day!
Loading 3.4 build 44 solved it. I was running the 3.4 build 43.

Hi David, I edited together a 4 min clip using 3.4, audio was way out of sync when I exported with cfhd codec, installed new build after reading this post, still same problem, not as bad. Reinstalled 3.3 and everything works fine. The clip is synced to hits in the music so I am able to notice it right away, I'll tell you what, 3.4 seems to render much faster than 3.3, if only the audio would stay in sync, I am using basic cross disolves and that is it, thought you might like to know. Oh, and this is a standard 1440x1080 60i in and out, no converting.

Aspect HD 3.4 does render much faster. Please re-confirm with build 44 for AHD 3.4, so far that has fixed this issue in every case.

I did reconfirm, I have the current build.

Thanks

Please work with tech support as this not happening with others.

One question: when using the latest Aspect HD 3.4 (build 44) to export, when re-import your exported sequence, place it over the original timeline. Is the video or audio longer or shorter than the original?

Here is what I figured out and hopefully it will help others to avoid the mistake. When I set my work area bar I give myself about 5 seconds extension to the project (no video underneath) when cineform encodes it renders that area green, when I put black video underneath it it renders with the audio fine, the length of the clip as a gauge is deceiving because the length fits, but because of the spot with no video it causes the sync problem, so everything works fine. I am used to doing this in premiere instead of adding black video, it just renders it black for me. Hope this can help others.

Mike,

Awesome find! We will put that green bug in the database, fortunately there is an easy work-around. Glad everything is now working for you.
