Hello.
I've just started editing in HDV and have some questions that I'm hoping soemebody can answer.
I'm recording HDV footage using a Sony HDR-FX1E (PAL)
I'm capturing the footage using ASPECT HDLink, automatically converting to Cineform Intermediate files. These files are then imported into Premiere Pro 1.5.1. The finished production is then exported to movie and a Cineform M2T file created which is then played back into the camera via HDLink
My question is regarding field settings.
Currently I have HDLink set on "interlaced" when capturing. I've been selecting the "Aspect HD 1440x1080 25p" preset when opening Premiere. To get the best picture quality should I be using the "25i" preset instead? Also, in the export movie settings, what rendering option should I select? I've been using "upper field first" but should I be using "no fields" to get the best picture quality?
Thanks in advance for information provided.
