Dont know if this has already been brought up and I apologize if it has, but there weren't any results when I searched for them but I would like to know the advantages of the shot gun over the hypercadroid or vice versa,

I have used sennheiser shotguns in previous shoots, but now I would like to buy a decent mic under $300 so can anyone point me to the right direction or any of you guys have any recommendations?
