I'm about to go to Phoenix for a couple of weeks and I want to take my gl2 with me to get some nice shots of the desert. Should I be worried about the pressure from high altitudes or should I be getting a pressurized case? The only camera that I've ever taken on a plane was my little JVC mini dv cam that I use as my "home video" cam. I never had a problem with it and I flew even further that time. Any advice would be appreciative. I leave in 6 days.

Hi...I just returned from a trip to San Francisco with my GL2....No problems at all....just make sure to take it with you as carry-on...
BTW...I've even noticed that the security only did a "dusting" of my bag rather than making my take the camcorder out and "Power-up" to show them that you can see through the lens etc.....

You shouldn't have any problems as long as you carry it on, not a good idea to check the camera. I've done a fair amount of traveling recently, and the standard procedure in each airport has been to take all video cameras out of the cases and and send them through the x-ray machine in a plastic tray. No, they don't seem to ask you to power up laptops or camcorders anymore in the normal screening process.

Have a nice trip, you're going to one of my favorite places!
