One of my buddies brought over a DVD with a lot of footage from 10 years ago we shot when we were 14 years old. It's in DVD format (mpeg4) and I want to bring it into premier pro to edit but it won't let me import the files. Is there a way i can convert the files to AVI or quicktime?
thanks

dvd's do not use the mpeg4 format, so you'll need to verify what you have.
perhaps it's an mpeg4 file that is copied to a dvd disc, but the disc is not in the dvd format?

The file type is VOP and the only program it opens in is my dvd player on my computer and Adobe Encore DVD. Any ideas?

You can use MainConcept MPEG Pro 1.0.6 (http://www.mainconcept.com/mpeg_pro.shtml) (and a lot of patience...) to edit mpeg2-files.
