Heath McKnight December 19th, 2005, 04:23 PM http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20051219/ap_on_hi_te/congress_digital_tv heath Konrad Haskins December 20th, 2005, 12:52 AM http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20051219/ap_on_hi_te/congress_digital_tv heath Just so folks don't get confused 480 is one of the three DTV signals, this does NOT mean all TV will be 720/1080. Heath McKnight December 20th, 2005, 12:59 AM Of course, DTV is just a digital transmission, but pretty much all networks and affiliates are moving towards 1080i60 and 1080p30, with 1080p60 coming in 5-10 years. heath Konrad Haskins December 20th, 2005, 01:34 PM Maybe, but there are big networks broadcasting in 720 and 733 TV's are a big seller at the big box retailers. Those 733's are going to be around in homes for a long time (7+years.) Heath McKnight December 20th, 2005, 01:59 PM True, true, most HDTVs are 720p or so, but 1080i and 1080p are getting cheaper all the time. heath |
