Has anyone heard of a DSR-650 - it's refered to in this Sony technmical document http://195.2.37.154/indexes/pi/EB/Nov_2005/00040765.pdf . I've also replied to another thread raising this so I hope I'm not guily of cross posting?

My guess is that it's the PAL version of the DSR400 and 450. In the past Sony has had different numbers for a DSR PAL camera. The old DSR200 (the DVCAM version of the VX1000) was called something like a 9600 in PAL-land.

From a Sony Asia/Pacific website:
"Latest additions of the DVCAM Series come with the Studio Camcorder DSR-650WSPL that adopts three 2/3-inch type Power HAD EX CCDs technology"
It'll be PAL then...

Thanks guys
It's not the DSR-400 or 450 as we have those in PAL land, but I think a DSR-450 with a Triax connection to allow it to be connected to a CCU!
I though I might have stimbled on Sony about to release a Pro-level HDV(CAM) camera - no such luck!
Take care
