looks like it is something between a one & two arm rig

Has anyone used it?

I am looking for something that is not just a support for a stabilizer,

but a little more of a walking rig,, which I think you need two arms for?

NOTE : It says the Smooth Shooter has replaced the Glidecam V8 (which looks a bit more robust - I might be abble to get my hands on one of the v8's still though it's a bit more expensive

The Smooth Shooter does represent an upgrade in technology and performance over the older GC arms, including the dual-section ones. You do not need two sections to achieve smooth walking shots, although it is helpful. A single-section arm will restrict the amount of boom range and most importantly maximum vertical height, so if you are on the shorter side you might not be able to get the lens up to your subject's eyeline.

It was very reassuring
