I'd like to expand the choice of fonts in Vegas. How does one import them into the Text Media section? And what font sites do you recommend?

San Serif or Serif? ph It's not so much a problem with Vegas as it is with the DV codec in general. San Serif or Serif? ph Serifed fonts are never good for heavily compressed vid in general. One thing you can do is to change the resolution of the fonts to double SD, and this helps a lot. You can usually get away with serifs on large text blocks, but that's about it. With progressive scan output, it's much less of an issue, but still an issue depending on text size. When you create a new piece of text, look in the top left corner of the Generated Media box and you'll see the "Frame Size" settings. Double these from 720 x 480 to 1440 x 960.
