This is kind of gimmicky I'm sure, but has anyone ever tried filming with one of these connected to your camera's video output?

Supposedly you put one on and it's supposed to seem like you're looking at a big screen t.v. 6 feet away. If the colors are good and it's as light on your head as the reviews suggest, it could be a neat way of immersing yourself into whatever you're recording.
Sure, it seems like a dorky idea... but someone out there must have tried it!
