Hubba hubba.
And just in time for Christmas. Too bad it doesn't come with the XL1, matte box, follow focus, lens, etc...

Check his "other items" up for auction. It looks like he is selling the entire setup. Lens, rails, etc.

<sitting here trying to figure out how to buy it>

I know. And the XL1 follow focus system.

Maybe we could both buy it, and keep it at your house one week, and my house the next! ;)

Wow, imagine the overnight FedEx bill from Vancouver to Houston and back fifty times a year.

Of course we could always convert Dylan to a Texan! Thus eliminating the FedEx bills.

I received an email back from the seller. His Reserve Price is $8,000.00 and his company is a dealer. I've always thought that ZGC had the market on the Mini 35.

Here is a link to the web site:

http://www.xl1solutions.com

He also stated in the email that they typically sell them for well over $9,000.

The only thing I can afford on that setup is the mount he's using for his LCD monitor..........man I gotta have one of those.

ZGC is the sole U.S. distributor. This guy bought from ZGC and is re-selling. Nothing wrong with that, but why go through a middle-man.

By the way, upon looking over his site, he once asked me about advertising on the Watchdog, then backed out, but came into the boards here to sell his wares commercially. That practice not being fair to our sponsors, I had to nix his ads. Said he wasn't willing to pony up to the bar like the other authorized dealers do here. So there is some history. Caveat Emptor.

I noticed also that he has sunglasses next to his name. It's not necessarily bad, but he changed his ID for some reason.

Well, I do like beer, chilli, guns and King Of The Hill...

By any chance, did you ask what his reserve on the follow focus was?

All right! King of the Hill! That show is dead on, by the way.

Oops... off topic...

when I had cable for a couple of months, I'd see King of the Hill on Fox, loved the clock in the shape of the state of Texas on the show, I have a Texas flag kitchen magnet with "Don't mess with Texas" on it.

while off the topic, an interesting Texas coincidence. John Locke met a Filipino director in Tokyo, wants to shoot a film in Osaka/Tokyo, he mentioned me as a possible Osaka cameraman, just read the script, one of the lead characters in the film comes from Round Rock, Texas. Why is it that all roads lead to Texas, even when I'm way over here on the other side of the planet, things somehow end up involving Texas.

another one, met a swedish metal band in Osaka, told them I'm from El Paso, they were just there several months before shopping at the big Harley Davidson store in ELP.

BTW, what was this thread about originally?;-)

one last thing, do they still sell Texas Pride beer?

It seems like he is selling a 35 mm/16mm lens adapter that isnt from P+S Technik. Or did I read it wrong?

Slightly off this topic, but rather than King of the Hill I would rather watch Red/Green show from Canada. Its a blast at http://www.redgreen.com

Yes, he has another lens adapter for sale, but it will still magnify the image 7.x times. So it's mostly a waste of money (considering how expensive it is), unless you are shooting wildlife and already have the PL mount lenses.

Nathan, Red Green rules all redneck shows. Did you know there is a Red Green movie?

Yes Dylan I knew there was a movie, but what are the chances it will get within a 100 miles of Tickfaw? The drag is they do not seem to sell the shows, but they do sell compilations. I would love to see the one Rothschild Sewage and Septic Sucking Service or converting the Buick to a snowcat.

Quick question. What is the going rate for a Mini 35 from ZGC? I seem to recall that a rig that is ready to roll is around $8000. Of course the lens would be seperate.

Any idea??
