Hi,

I have a friend going to the states tommorow, so he's doing a bit shopping for me in B&H.

He's gonna buy a Beachtek DX-4. And then I need to mic's.

One for interviewing purposes and a good monomic to replace the onboard mic. Both have to be batterypowered or be able to function with power.

I'd prefer if the monomic functions without batteries, as I'm gonna be using this all the time.

Has to be good enough to make productions I can sell for TV broadcast, but the cheaper the better ;)

EDIT:

I can't figure it out. Phantom power or no phantom power. If I go with a mic like this: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=157396&is=REG&addedTroughType=categoryNavigation

That doesn't require phantom power and is rather cheap compared to the others on that site. But is that just rubbish?

I haven't used that particular mic but it's probably
okay for handheld interviews.

Thomas: it seems that a lot of this ground has already been covered in the other thread you started on the same topic:

He's gonna buy a Beachtek DX-4.

In that other thread you say "I definately want the one with phantom power - can't use the audio equipment in my school without.". Are you aware that the DXA-4 does not provide phantom power? It's just a passive device.

Yea i know it's a passive one. Actually I was thinking about getting my own equipment, but the 100 dollars is just not worth saving until I DO get the equipment.

So final decision is: DXA-6 - with phantom power.

So what microfons should I go for?

Quick answers are appreciated as it's 9 PM here and my friend travels tommorow morning.

Thanks.
