I see things are starting to move along at a faster speed with the HVX200! Great!
I was thinking about image control with this camera. With minidv, we usually shoot as clean as possible, no filters, no diffusion etc - due to the low resolution it provides. Then we try to do more things in post, but still careful not to exaggerate.
With the HVX200 in 1080 24p mode, do you think we can afford to design the image more during the shooting stage? Filter, nets and so on. Do we get more leeway in that respect due to the increased resolution? Theoretically, yes, but I'm curious how this will be practically - especially with a (still) 8-bit image.
