Is there any reason that a future camera can't have a 48fps progressive mode for true cinematic slo-mo? It would seem that the only limitation from a design standpoint in choosing any frame rate with progereive scan are the chips' physical ability to do so.
Is there any reason this can't be done? Are the chips currently in use in the XL2 already capable of this? Even 36p would be a great feature that (I think) would ensure success of an XL3 (or H2?) aimed even more at filmmakers.
