i want to create a fly from space to a certain spot in LA.
other than the stuff Google offers do u guys have any suggestion of softwares or how i can do this?
appreciate any suggestion

The cheapest way would be to get the government images. (Like google uses). Then do a pan and zoom Closer and closer within each image. You can 'cover' the cuts between different images with 'cloud cover'.

You can purchase high res photos there, but I think they're only black and white. Another site is TopoZone:

I think they sell color imagery. But if you just want to do it with software as an effect then you might be interested in software like Vue:

I have been working with Vue Infinite for the past few months, and it's an amazing software package. Still a little buggy, but worth it IMO. But the other versions of Vue Esprit are a better value if you don't need the sophisticated features (like ecosystems).
