I wanted to know if this is a universal term for Hair & Makeup or do different countries use different terms

I have never heard that term used in the USA or any of the international productions I've worked on.

Speaking of slang, "recce" is one I hear a lot on international shoots, but in the USA we usally just say "recon". But I prefer, "scope it out".

Recce stems from British Army when it was an abbreviation for reconnaissance or to recconoiter somewhere before a military operation.
