Elvis birthday is January 8 and in 2025, he would have been 90. Imagine that.
At Parkes in N.S.W. Australia every year, they celebrate Elvis birthday with a big party. Every January 9 an Elvis Xpress packed with Elvis look-a-likes leaves Sydney for the weekend party in Parkes.
This year scores of Elvis and Priscilla Presley fans and impersonators danced their way onto the annual Elvis Express train from Sydney's Central station for the seven-hour journey west, complete with themed carriages and on-board performances.
Beginning in 1993, the Elvis festival has grown significantly, recently attracting more than 20,000 people, swelling the Parkes population of roughly 11,000, and injecting more than $11 million into the local economy.
