View Full Version : Exploring Brasstown Falls - GH6
Mark Williams May 19th, 2022, 04:07 PM I first visited the waterfalls along Brasstown Creek in South Carolina 10 years ago. I recently revisited there now that the trail has been improved. The area is interesting not only for the waterfalls along it course but for the abundant flora and fauna. I shot this on my new Panasonic GH 6 camera along with the Pany 12-60mm, Oly 60mm macro and 75-300mm lenses. Music is "Adrift Among the Infinite Stars" by Scott Buckley and is licensed for use via Creative Commons Attribution 4.0.

Doug Jensen May 19th, 2022, 08:16 PM Very nice Mark. I really like the color saturation and use of shallow DoF. And the slow-shutter effects are perfectly executed. Beautiful.
Mark Williams May 19th, 2022, 09:04 PM Thank you very much.
Steve Siegel May 21st, 2022, 07:39 PM What a joy to see all that pure water. And those flowers. Magnificent. We are in a major drought and our mountain spring woods have been locked down because of fire danger. It was a delight to be able to see yours. Thanks.
Mark Williams May 22nd, 2022, 07:12 AM I am glad that you enjoyed it and hope you all get some rain.
Roger Van Duyn May 22nd, 2022, 09:05 AM Very beautiful work Mark!

Bob Safay May 23rd, 2022, 04:41 AM Mark, another excellent video. You are the master of waterfalls. Your color is so vivid and realistic. I enjoy the way you include clips of birds, flowers and insects to enhance your lovely waterfalls. And, you have truly mastered the art of using depth of field. Wonderful to watch. Bob
Mark Williams May 23rd, 2022, 01:50 PM Thanks Bob.
Mick Jenner June 1st, 2022, 12:56 PM Hi Mark, another great film. You have the knack to of being able to edit clips into a film in a way that is so relaxing and absorbs the viewer into the film. We done.
Are you still editing with Edius?
Mick
Mark Williams July 29th, 2022, 07:03 PM Yes, still with Edius 8.51 Workgroup.
Allan Black July 29th, 2022, 09:15 PM Great video Mark. I like the music track and your syncing the shots. With the water fx, that ties it all together.
I especially like at 3.06-3.16 the Woodchuck moving to the music, it’s like the music was scored to the picture.
Cheers.
Mark Williams July 30th, 2022, 09:33 PM Thank Allan. The music actually came from Scott Buckley who is from your part of the globe. https://www.scottbuckley.com.au/about/
Allan Black July 31st, 2022, 05:26 PM Yep it’s a small world Mark, and you’re in famous company because Steven Spielberg edited the Star Wars footage to John Williams magnificent theme.
