Have 2 PMW EX-1 - powering off then back on during recording - different times each time (both on batt & AC) Can any recommend somewhere in UK to get quote/repaired Used to use Clyde Cunningham but website no longer avail (I guess retired)

Mine gets quite hot in continuous use, but have never seen this happen (it has been very lightly used over the years). I wonder if yours could be overheating and setting off a sensor, causing a shutdown? Could this be as simple as cleaning out the vents towards the back? Is there a fan inside there (don't know)?

Sorry, no idea about repairs.

It looks to be a known issue...hopefully someone will be able to recomend a good UK repair place.....

EX1s were renowned for on/off switch failures after a period of time. Here is a strip down and replace switch video for the EX1 if you feel up to it.
