Hallo,
i'm here to ask what's your workflow on matching the colors in timeline from 2 different cameras. Is there in Vegas any option that allow you to bring to both clips the same graded colors?
I'm currently discovering Vegas 14. I used to work with Vegas 11

Not sure about earlier versions but for sure v16 and up had the Color Match FX Plugin where you can chose your reference camera and then your destination camera and apply the Color Match plugin and generally it would get pretty close to adjusting the camera you want to match to. Then you could apply the final LGG adjustments as you saw fit.
The best thing to do is shoot a color checker chart under the same lighting on both cameras then the color match works quite accurately when you run the Color Match FX plugin.

I pick the camera easiest to color correct to your desired goal and grade it.
I then take a short clip of the second camera and place it under and to the side of a colored clip from camera 1.
I remove saturation until black and white, set the contrast for each so they are the same.
reset to color and then start one number 2, I set gama as close as possible then I go to color correction and match them best as possible.
I apply them all to the entire time line
You could also copy and paste event attributes
probably better ways but I have done it this way on numerous wedding videos and wildlife video too.

The Color Match plugin goes back at least to 14. I've used that to get things close.
Sometimes I do it manually by various means. I often start with Levels, other times I use Color Curves, Color Corrector or Color Corrector (Legacy). It really depends on exactly how they don't match. When I use Levels, I insert three instances of it and set them to red, green and blue respectively. Then I bring up the RGB Parade scope as a guide. To backtrack a bit, I'll generally explore RGB Parade and Vector Scope a bit and then experiment with the different plugins.

I would suggest Dale's workflow would deliver a pretty close result. Sometimes I go through a similar process in Vegas or Resolve but then generate a 3D LUT of the corrected image to throw on the footage of that camera so as to avoid all the copy/paste attributes steps later. I apply the LUT in the Project Media bin using the right-click Media FX plugin and then select the LUT filter then select my LUT. Apply the LUT and then any footage clipped from that footage in the Project Media bin will have those color attributes already applied.
