Snow Day Birds - YouTube Bob Safay February 12th, 2020, 09:41 AM Mark, those poor birds looked cold. Great shots and color, the bird sounds was perfect. I had a snowfall that day in Virginia-Highlands but nothing like that. Interesting to see you shoot something than those beautiful waterfall videos. Take care, Bob Mark Williams February 12th, 2020, 10:02 AM Thanks Bob. Going out this week hoping for eagles and deer. Doug Jensen February 13th, 2020, 07:19 AM The video looks great . . . but the snow looks awful! Reminds me why I moved to Florida last year. I also like the use of nat sound instead of music. Much harder to do right. Good luck with the deer and eagles. Mark Williams February 13th, 2020, 07:47 AM Thanks Doug. I envy the assortment of birds you have in Florida. Bob Safay February 14th, 2020, 04:44 PM Mark, where are you finding deer and eagles? I used to go over to Alabama for eagles. Good luck. Bob Mark Williams February 14th, 2020, 07:07 PM There is an active eagle nest at Berry College with a viewing area. They can give you directions at the entry station. As far a deer, they are all over the place. Saw about a hundred grazing in the fields on the north end of the campus. Here is the eagle cam link. https://www.berry.edu/eaglecam/ Bob Safay February 15th, 2020, 02:25 PM Mark, thanks. Did you see any eagles? If I drive up there do I need to check in with anyone? Is the viewing are marked? Thanks again for the information. Bob Mark Williams February 15th, 2020, 10:20 PM Bob, Enter the main entry. Check in with the guard who will scan your driver's license. Take the first left and then another left into the parking lot. The eagle viewing area is marked. I have included a photo. Yes, I saw them fly out of the nest but did not get any decent footage. Instead I concentrated on the deer herds. I was told when the eggs hatch there will be non-stop activity. Bob Safay February 16th, 2020, 09:48 AM Mark, thank you so much. I have been watching the nest cam. Looks like she has two eggs. I will definitely be going there as soon as the rains stop. I hope you got some good deer shots. Maybe we will run into each other up there. Take care and thanks again. Bob Gordon Hoffman February 21st, 2020, 07:52 AM Hi Mark. The snow does make the colourful birds stand out. Nicely done and thanks for sharing. Gordon |
